How Teams are mange on kosmic ?

Manage Members

Step 1: Accessing the Manage Team Section

Navigate to Settings

  • Locate the Settings icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
  • Click on the Settings icon to open the settings menu on the left side.

Open Manage Team

  • Within the Settings page, go to the Team & Collaborators section in the sidebar.
  • Click on Manage Team to access the team management section, where you can see all members associated with your organization.

Step 2: Viewing and Editing Team Members

View Team Members

  • In the Manage Team section, you’ll see a list of current team members. Each member is displayed with:
    • Profile Picture
    • Name
    • Assigned Role (e.g., "Can edit" or "Can view")

Edit Member Role

  • To change a team member’s role, click the dropdown next to their assigned role.
  • Select the desired role from the dropdown options (e.g., change from “Can edit” to “Can view”).
  • The new role will be applied to the member immediately.

Step 3: Adding a New Member

Click the Add New Member Button

  • In the Manage Team section, locate the Add New Member button on the top-right.
  • Click Add New Member to open a popup window for inviting a new member.

Enter Member Details

  • In the popup window:
    • Enter the email address of the new member in the input field.
    • Use the role dropdown next to the email field to assign a role (e.g., "Can view").

Send Invitation

  • Click the Send Invite button to invite the new member.

System Behavior:

  • Success Message: “Invitation sent successfully” confirms the invitation was sent.

  • Error Message: “Couldn’t send invitation” indicates an error occurred.
    • You can retry by clicking Try Again or close the popup by clicking OK.

Step 4: Removing a Member

Select Member for Removal

  • Locate the member you wish to remove in the team list.
  • Click the dropdown next to their role and select Remove from the menu.

Confirm Removal

  • A confirmation popup will appear, asking you to confirm the removal.
  • Click Yes to confirm and remove the member.
  • Once removed, the member will no longer appear in the team list.

 

Tips and Troubleshooting

Issue Solution
Unable to Send Invite Double-check the email address entered and ensure your internet connection is stable.
Role Change Not Applying Refresh the page or check if the member has pending tasks that require the assigned role.
Error While Removing Member Verify if the member is currently assigned to any active tasks or projects before removal.
