How do I create Faceless videos?

This document walks you through how to generate AI-powered faceless videos whether using stock footage, animated visuals, or hyper-realistic clips while understanding credit consumption, settings, and customization options.


What is a Faceless Video?

Faceless videos are AI-generated clips where you don’t need to appear on camera. Kosmic lets you create these videos using:

  • Stock images and videos (Basic)

  • AI-generated animated visuals (Premium)

  • Hyper-realistic AI-generated clips (Ultimate)

Use them for content creation, marketing, training, education, or social media—all without being on screen.

Credit Usage Overview

❗️You must have credits to generate faceless videos. Different video types and durations consume different amounts of credits.

Step 1: Accessing the Faceless Video Feature

  1. Login to your Kosmic.ai account.

  2. From the left sidebar, navigate to the Studio section.

  3. Click on Faceless Videos.

This will open the main workspace where you can create, edit, or view faceless video drafts.

🔔 Tip: If you’re on a Free plan, make sure you have enough credits to proceed.


Step 2: Explore the Faceless Video Dashboard

Here’s what you’ll see:

  • ‘Generate Faceless Video’ button to start a new video.

  • A list of your Drafts, showing:

    • Draft name

    • Project it belongs to

    • Last edited date

    • Action options (Edit, Delete)

Step 3: Start a New Video or Continue from a Draft

  • To start fresh, click on Generate Faceless Video.

  • To resume editing, click on a draft from the list.

    • Drafts auto-save, so you never lose progress.

 

Step 4: Project Setup

You’ll be prompted to:

  • Name your video draft (required)

  • Choose a project:

    • Select an existing project from the dropdown, or

    • Click Create new to start a new project folder

  • Click Create to continue

💡 Tip: Projects help organize videos by topic, client, or campaign.

Step 5: Select Orientation, AI Model & Duration

You’ll now configure the foundation of your video:

  1. Choose orientation:

    • Portrait (9:16) – Best for TikTok, Reels, and mobile.

    • Landscape (16:9) – Ideal for YouTube, presentations.

  2. Select AI Quality Level:

    • Basic: Uses stock videos and images.

    • Premium: AI converts images into animated 5-second video shots.

    • Ultimate: Generates ultra-realistic video clips using advanced models like Dream Machine.

  3. Choose video length (15, 30, 45, or 60 seconds).

    • You’ll see a preview of the video style

    • The credit cost is displayed depending on your chosen model and length.

  4. Click Generate to move to the prompting stage.

Step 6: Prompting and Script Input

  • Use the prompt box to describe your video (e.g., “A promotional video for a fashion brand using cinematic visuals”).

  • Optionally, click Enhance Prompt to auto-refine your input.

  • Kosmic will use this to generate your video script.

Step 7: Customize Video Settings

Tailor your video using several customization tools:

  • Video Styles: Choose from a range of aesthetics (e.g., Gothic, Dreamscape, Gourmet).

  • Voiceover:

    • Select from AI-generated voices.

    • Preview voices before finalizing.

  • Captions:

    • Toggle on/off.

    • Adjust font style, color, position, and size.

  • Effects & Transitions:

    • Enhance scene changes and visuals.

  • Background Music:

    • Pick from AI-curated audio tracks to match your video mood.

Step 8: Review Script and Credit Usage

  • Preview the script broken down into:

    • Scene Descriptions

    • Dialogue for Voiceover

    • Captions

  • You can edit scene-by-scene before generating.

  • Kosmic shows the total credit cost (based on scenes, voiceover, and captions).

📍 Drafts are auto-saved, so you can return anytime.

Step 9: Generate the Video

  • Click Generate Video to start AI processing.

  • A loader/progress bar appears.

  • You can leave the screen and get notified once it’s ready.

  • Credits are deducted at this point.

Step 10: Final Video Preview & Export Options

Once your video is ready:

  • Review the final video on the preview screen.

  • Available options:

    • Save to Project

    • Edit in Video Editor

    • Export in High Quality

    • Share to Social Media (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook)
