Internal Task Vs Job Task

Task Categories

The Internal Tasks and Job Tasks are two categories of tasks available on Kosmic. Users can manually create Internal Tasks, while Job Tasks are automatically generated when a job is initiated. This guide helps differentiate between these task types and explains how to manage them in the Task Manager.

Accessing and Navigating Task Categories

Step 01: Access Task Manager

  • Navigate to the Task Manager section via the Mission Control menu on the left sidebar.

Step 02: Switch Between Internal and Job Tasks

  • Toggle Task Type:
    • Use the toggle switch at the top-right corner of the screen to select either Internal Tasks or Job Tasks.
    • By default, Job Tasks are selected.

Internal Tasks Overview

Default View

When accessing the Internal Tasks section:

  • Overview Tab: This is the default view for Internal Tasks.
  • If no tasks exist, the screen displays an empty state prompting users to create tasks.

Empty Task View

  • Click the + Add Task button on the screen to create a new Internal Task.

Task Summary View

Once tasks are created, the Overview Tab provides a summary, including:

  • Task Statistics:
    • Total tasks categorized by their statuses:
      • To Do: Pending tasks.
      • In Progress: Tasks currently being worked on.
      • Done: Tasks marked as done but awaiting final review.
      • Completed: Fully completed tasks.
  • Graphical Representation:
    • A bar chart displays the distribution of tasks across statuses, providing an easy-to-understand visual breakdown.

Key Differences Between Internal Tasks and Job Tasks
