How can I share documents in platform chats?

Document Sharing 

Step 1: Access the Chat Interface

  • Navigate to the Inbox:
    From the main navigation menu, go to the Inbox section.
  • View Chat Interface:
    You’ll be directed to a screen displaying the chat interface, previous message history (if any), and the message input bar.

Step 2: Open the Attachment Options

  • Locate the Attachment Icon:
    Found in the message input bar at the bottom of the chat screen.
  • Click the Attachment Icon:
    This action will open the attachment options menu.

Step 3: Select the Upload Method

  • Choose a Document to Upload:
    • After clicking the attachment icon, a file explorer window will open.
    • Navigate to the location of the document you wish to share.
    • Select the desired file and click Open to upload it to the chat.

Step 4: Send the Document

  • Review Attached Document:
    The selected document will appear as an attachment in the chat interface before sending.

  • Click the Send Button:
    Press the Send Button (represented by a paper airplane icon) in the message input bar.

  • Confirmation:
    After sending, the document will appear in the message history, making it accessible to both you and the recipient(s).

Tips and Troubleshooting

Issue Solution
File Not Uploading Ensure the file size meets the platform's maximum limit and that the file format is supported.
Unable to Attach Documents Check your internet connection and refresh the chat interface if needed.
File Not Visible After Sending Confirm the file has been successfully sent by checking the message history.
